Pengaruh Body Condition Score (BCS) terhadap Lama Kebuntingan, Paritas, dan Bobot Lahir Pedet Sapi Bali di Kabupaten Klungkung Bali
This study aims to determine the effect of BCS on changes in gestational age, parity,
and birth weight of calves in Bali cattle. This study uses a case study method where
primary data is obtained from inseminator recording and livestock recording
accompanied by direct review. Livestock data are grouped as P1: BCS 2 totaling
15 Balinese cattle and P2: BCS 3 totaling 15 Balinese cattle. The research variables
were gestational age, parity, and calf birth weight. The research method used was
a case study using information collection tools, namely observation, interviews,
questionnaires and documentation. The collected data was analyzed using the T
test with the SPSS application and compared with the literature. The research
results showed that various BCS had a significant effect on the duration of
pregnancy, parity and birth weight (BL) of female calves (P0.05). Duration of
pregnancy at P1 (289 days) and P2 (284 days). Parity P1 (7 cows) and P2 (8 cows).
P1 BW male (19.08 kg); P1 BW female (14.87 kg) and P2 BW male (19.75 kg); P2
BW female (16.63 kg).Based on the research results, it can be concluded that BCS
3 produces the best performance values for gestational length, parity, and calf birth
weight compared to BCS 2.
