Abnormalitas Dan Ph Spermatozoa Semen Segar Domba Lokal Pada Penampungan 3X Seminggu Dengan Lama Simpan Yang Berbeda Pada Suhu Simpan 5 C
The purpose of this study was to determine the abnormality and pH of the spermatozoa of fresh local sheep semen at storage 3x a week with different shelf life at a storage temperature of 5 oC. The research was conducted at the Integrated Laboratory and Integrated Farming Laboratory at Wagir, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Kanjuruhan University, Malang from February 1 to February 24, 2020. The research material used was fresh local sheep semen, namely two males aged 1-2 years with a body weight of 20 -23 kg. The research method used is a laboratory study using a completely randomized design (CRD) with treatment duration of storage: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 hours, storage 3 times a week, each treatment repeated 4 times at 5 oC. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance. Based on the results of the study, namely the abnormal and pH quality of fresh local sheep semen which was still maintained according to AI standards up to 4 hours of storage. Abnormalities progressively increased at 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 hours respectively as follows 0.5 ± 0.58%; 2 ± 1.15%; 3.5 ± 1.3%; 5.75 ± 0.96% and 8.5 ± 1%, respectively. Meanwhile, the pH semen decreased with the respective pH values of 7.025 ± 0.05; 6.9 ± 0.08; 6.9 ± 0.08; 6.775 ± 0.05 and 6.775 ± 0.05. The conclusion from the results of the study is that the abnormal and pH quality of fresh local sheep semen which is still maintained according to AI standards is up to 4 hours at 5oC storage.
