The Use of the Busuu Application in Learning English Listening: Insights from Senior High School Students
Teaching media is very important in the teaching and learning process, as it
plays a significant role in teaching English as a foreign language. One of these
media is the Busuu application serves as an engaging and interactive medium for
learning. With its user-friendly features, this application serves as an effective tool
for students in SMA Diponegoro Tumpang to help their English listening skills both
inside and outside the classroom.

As a valuable learning tool, Busuu not only supported listening practice but also

experience. In addition to these factors, the students encountered several challenges
while using the application for their learning process, such as unclear audio quality,
native speakers’ accents, premium features, and unstable internet connections.
The conclusion drawn from the discussion indicates that the research
findings align with existing theory. Specifically, the use of the Busuu application is
effective in enhancing students' listening skills, consistent with the theory of
technology-based learning (Warschauer & Healey, 1998) and the principles of
social interaction (Vygotsky, 1978).
This research aims to offer deeper insights into how the Busuu application
helps students enhance their listening skills. Additionally, it seeks to provide
valuable recommendations for educators and educational institutions to optimize
their English teaching methods. Future research should include additional schools
or universities to gather more extensive data, potentially enhancing the
implementation of E-learning in education
