The Effect Of Web-Based Wordwall Application On The Students Vocabulary Mastery at Elementary School. Thesis

Vocabulary knowledge is considered an important tool for second
language learners, because limited second language vocabulary hinders
communication. However, mastering vocabulary is not easy. Teachers should use
appropriate media to teach vocabulary to students. Web-based wordwall
application is a software or application that runs on a website and is used as a
game-based learning medium like kahoot and quizzes. This web-based wordwall
application has interesting features that can attract students' attention in learning,
such as a word search feature, game show quiz, and random wheel. With the webbased wordwall application media, students quickly understand the material
provided and makes the learning activity more enjoyable and interesting.
Learning with a game-based learning model can change the learning paradigm
from teacher-centered to student-centered. This research aims to determine the
significant positive effect of web-based wordwall application on students'
vocabulary mastery.
