Using Easy English YouTube Channel to Improve Vocabulary Mastery on Junior High School Students

This study occured because of some difficulties experienced by students in
learning English. One of the difficulties is learning activities that are monotonous
and only centered on textbooks, which makes students quickly get bored doing
learning activities and cannot accept the material properly. Therefore, teachers
need to find new media to teach vocabulary, one of the best media is Easy English
YouTube channel. Videos help students to recognize the vocabulary more easily
(Andrean et al., 2019). Easy English YouTube video channel can help the students
learning process. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out the
effectiveness of using Easy English YouTube channel in improving vocabulary
mastery oo Junior High School students'. This study not only emphasizes
students‟ learning but also the interesting entertainment. Besides, this study uses
a specific YouTube channel, namely Easy English. This YouTube channel still
rarely used in other previous study.
