Existentialist feminism is the idea of women existence that frequently
discredits, oppresses and discriminates on women rights in various aspects of
society. Throughout the advanced media, especially in movie, having a significant
a crucial role in reflecting reality in the society. Fireheart (2022) movie talks
about the moment of Georgia Nolan‟s journey as the firefighter that faces the
gender discrimination and limited opportunities and showcasing the battle against
societal norms in the early 20th century through the Georgia Nolan‟s potrayal, the
movie narates the complex connection of gender strategies that together advocate
for women's empowerment and equality.
This thesis focuses on an analysis of the existentialist feminism struggle
that faced by Georgia Nolan in Fireheart (2022) movie by using Simone de
Beauvoir Strategies of transcendences which consist of (1) women must work to
develop themselves, (2) women must be intellectuals, (3) women must work to
achieve socialist transformation, and (4) women must transcend their boundaries.
