Exploring the Effectiveness of English Song to Be Dangdut Remix TikTok on Enhancing Listening Skills

A foundational skill for efficient communication and a crucial component
of mastering the English language is the ability to listen. Numerous participant,
despite the fact that it is of great significance, find it difficult to accomplish because
of the intricate mental processes that are involved. The purpose of this study is to
investigate whether or if the utilization of English songs that have been remixed
into Dangdut, which has become popular on TikTok, is beneficial in improving
students' listening skill. An experimental group of twenty-five students used
Dangdut Remix TikTok as a learning medium, while a control group of twentythree students used conventional English music. The research was carried out as a
quasi-experimental study at SMP YBPK Tambakasri, and it involved a total of
forty-eight ninth-grade students at middle school.
