An Analysis of Teacher’s Strategies on Blended Learning Class
Early in 2019 until 2021 human societies experienced Covid-19 pandemic and
the use of online components or online learning is significant aspect for education
to keeping teaching and learning activities going. In the middle of 2022 the new
normal era in Indonesia, the use of blended learning is the proper strategy to
combine offline class while keeps applying online class. The next year online
learning remains carried out with the hope that no setbacks will be felt by
Indonesia’s education and to continue preparing for future education. The purpose
of this study is aimed for: (1).Examining the strategies used by English teachers in
BLC; (2). Finding out the problems and difficulties in BLC; (3). Finding out the
solution being done to overcome the problem and difficulties.
The research method used is descriptive qualitative with phenomenology
approach. The subject of the study there were three English teachers T.A (Teacher
Herlin), T.B (Teacher Rizky) and T.C (Teacher Cindy). Researcher herself is the
key instrument of this study with organized research design, collected all data and
analyzed the result of the research. For the progression of this study, researcher
was aided by supporting instrument that is classroom observation and interview.
In classroom observation there were 30 points for two categories obtained to
know the strategy used by the teacher and for interview the question made to
know deeper the strategy, the problem and the solution to overcome the problems
based from the real situation in BLC. The result of data collections gathered
deeper and examined to determine what it reveals.
