Identifikasi Sifat Kualitatif Dan Kuantitatif Kuda Sandalwood Yang Dipelihara Pada Dataran Tinggi Dan Dataran Rendah
This research done in the Tanarara District, Lewa Subdistrict, East Sumba Regency also done in the Banjirejo Ward, Pakis Subdistrict, Malang Regency, during May until June 2021. The study aims to identify the qualitative and quantitative properties of Sandalwood horses that are kept in the highlands and lowlands. The material used in this study was 10 horses 5 horses in the lowlands 5 high altitude horses. The method used explanatory survey or explantative survey with quantitative approach. Many variables to be observed from the identification of qualitative and quantitative properties of Sandalwood horses maintained on highlands and lowlands. The data collect analyzed with descriptive statistics and T-tests with SPSS applications. The results of the study can be concluded to identify the qualitative characteristics of Sandalwood horses kept in the highlands for the dominant coat color are black as 3 tails (60%); have on white markings on the face or are plain as 3 tails (60%); has no while markings on the legs as 4 tail (80%). And then for the lowlands for the dominant coat color are black as 3 tails (60%); have on white markings on the face or are plain as 3 tails (60%); has no while markings on the legs as 5 tail (100%). Identification of quantitative traits of Sandalwood horses kept in the highlands and lowlands that there are significant differences for chest circumference, body length, and body weight as for shoulder height, there is no significant differences. Sandalwood horse breeders are used as a source of data and information also standardization of characteristic in the lowlands and highlands.
