Developing English E - Module For 5th Grade Students Of Sd Negeri 1 Wonomulyo In Academic Year 2020/2021

Due to Covid-19, the use of technology is one of the suitable alternatives to continue running the learning system. One example of technology-based media is e-module. E-module stands for electronic module which means this module can only be accessed through electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops, or computers. The use of e-modules in online learning can facilitate students because in e-modules there are clear learning objectives, learning materials, worksheets, and students can learn independently. For that reason, researcher developed an English e-module and tested it on students.
Research and development method and ADDIE approach was used in this study. The subject was from grade 5A students of SD Negeri 1 Wonomulyo with a total 37 students. The data obtained from open-ended questionnaire and distributed to te validators, English teacher, and students by google form. To know the results of the study, researcher measured the percentages of questionnaire responses.
The results showed that this learning media has gone through systematic stages of development research. Based on the validation results on the material expert obtained 77.2%, in the media validator obtained 78.8%, and in linguists gained 87.5%. The acquisition of value on all expert validations falls into the eligible category with the predicate "Excellent". In addition, the results of the questionnaire on English teachers obtained 81.25% and the results of the student questionnaire obtained 88.4% which means that the learning media English e- module is feasible and practical to use in online learning.
The findings in this study imply that the usefulness of e-modules in online learning can overcome teacher confusion in determining the right learning medium for students. E-modules can be used by students to learn independently anytime and anywhere. However, students should manage the time in using e- modules for a long time to prevent eye strain. Students can use other devices (ipad, laptop, kindle, etc.) to make the text appear larger and more comfortable to use.
