Pengaruh Bebagai Media Tumbuh Terhadap Produktifitas Maggot (Hermetia Illucens)
Maggot is a high source of animal protein because it contains a protein range of 30-45%. This relatively high protein content is very potential as additional feed for rearing consumption fish, because maggot from black solider fly (Hermetia illucens) is an alternative feed that meets the requirements as a protein source.Food ingredients that contain more than 19% crude protein are classified as protein sources. Therefore, the maggot is a source of protein that can be used in the form of pellets, so that maggot has a big influence as an alternative to feed. The experimental design used in the study was a completely randomized design (CRD), with a combination treatment of maggot natural feed cultivation media in the form of tofu waste (as household waste) and dry chicken manure (livestock waste) so that there were 6 treatments with 3 replications with the composition that is: P1: Waste / rice waste, P2: Fruit waste P3: Vegetable waste, P4: Cow feces, P5: Chicken manure, P6: Goat feces. Testing data on the density level of the maggot population (Hermetia illucens) on different waste media using One Way ANOVA (analysis of variance with univariate) using the SPSS version 16.0 program. If the ANOVA test states that there is a significant difference in the sample, it can be continued with the LSD (Least Significance Different) further test. The results of this study for maggot weight showed that P5 treatment had the same effect as treatment P6 but had a different effect on other treatmentsfor; the highest maggot weight in treatment was 0.26 grams / head, for the highest maggot size in treatment P5 was 3.43 cm / head; and for the highest maggot production in P6 treatment of 28.00 grams / media.
