The MorPhologi Process Of Bataknese Dialect
In this study, the researcher presented the morphological process of Bataknese Dialect. In the analysis, the researcher used descriptive qualitative to describe the real condition in a certain situation. Descriptive qualitative design comprises of five different types, one of which was documentary analysis. This study was classified as ocumentary analysis which was focusing on analyzing and interpreting morphology material, namely books, textbooks, interview, internet.
The data sources of the study were about the native language of Batak people who usually speak bataknese language in their speech. The object of the study was the
morphological processes of Bataknese language which was analyzed in detail to find out its pattern there were about affixation and reduplication. In collecting data, this study taken ten people to became informants. They all were the existing migrants Batak people in Malang city. The researcher used some instruments to made his work easier and effective, such as recorder, and text. For analyzing valid data, the researcher also made corpuses. The finding of this study shows that the process of affixation of bataknese dialect was completed by the morphological process, such as: assimilation, elision. Bataknese dialect had three affixes, they were: prefix, infix, suffix and circumfix. In Batak language not all the words was read in accordance with the way of writing, especially the end of the consonant words on the second syllable of the latter was often equated with the consonants at the beginning of the last syllable, for example; tamba to read tabba, tanda to read tadda, ompung to read oppung. In others word consonant (mb – bb, nd – dd, mp – pp,).
Hopefully, this study is useful for the students to improve their knowledge about morphological process as the part of linguistics, for general people who want to explore their knowledge about local language, especially Bataknese Dialect. Finally, the researcher expects that this research would be useful to the field of morphology. It is also expected that this research would besignificant for English Department Students, English lecturers, and other researchers in the field of linguistics.
