Literature is a creative and imaginative work, which expresses social life based on experience, knowledge,opinion and interpretation about events or persons. Literature is closely related to art, feeling, mentality and belief.Literature also can reflect human life, because it has a power to catch readers’ heart to make
their imagination and emotion up, and to influence readers’ mind.Movie is one form of literature work that is more efficient and effective to be understand the
content of the story. The problem of the study is what are the moral values in the “Akeelah and the Bee”movie. The purposes of this study is to describe the moral values found in “Akeelah and the Bee “movie . The focus of this study is on analysis the moral values in “Akeelah and the Bee”movie. The researcher analyze the moral values from the characters and quotations on the movie itself. This study takes procedure of descriptive research method in which the
researcher applies library and literary subject to collect and clasify the data involved on“Akeelah and the Bee”movie. The data is taken from the script which
related to the problem. The source of the data is from “Akeelah and the Bee”movie. The instruments which is applied in this study are documentation and
corpuses. The researcher used corpus to collect the data that it helps for getting better to analyze the moral values in this movie. Finally, the result of this study showed that there are a lot of moral values can be found in this movie, which are reflected through the characters life or attitudes and behaviour. The moral values found in “Akeelah and the Bee”movie, are; humble, hopeful and self confident, self reflective, being a hard worker, apologize, kind and friendly, optimistic, sacrifice, loving, positive thinking, disciplined, good, helpful, kind, and honest. The researcher hopes that this analysis could help to enrich the students who want to learn a literary subject. The researcher suggest that from this thesis study will be continued to others researcher to enrich the literary knowledge.
